The very hungry caterpillar where one early Sunday morning, a caterpillar hatched from an egg, which loved to eat. Soon, it starts looking for something to eat. He eats increasing amounts of fruit as the days go by an apple on Monday, two pears on Tuesday, three plums on Wednesday, four strawberries on Thursday, and five oranges on Friday. On Saturday, he prepares to eat the following menu: a piece of chocolate cake, an ice cream cone, a pickle, a piece of Swiss cheese, a piece of salami, a lollipop, a piece of cherry pie, a sausage, a cupcake, and a huge piece of watermelon. That night she got a big stomach ache from eating so much food. The next morning, Sunday, the caterpillar tries again and starts eating a green leaf. After eating proper food, he feels much better. In the end, it does not stay hungry and since then it grew at a proper pace.
