Africa as an unknown territory, as a place of search, as a defined space for otherness, slips into the first feature-length fiction film by María Pérez Sanz, a director who has gone through different parts of the audiovisual world to enter into the artistic experience. Her close-up of the Danish writer Karen Blixen offers a subtle and nuanced portrait, performed by the actress and singer Christina Rosenvinge.

Synopsis:

This film is an intimate portrait of the author of Memoirs of Africa's last days in Kenya, and especially of the particular relationship she had with her Somali servant Farah Aden: a strange friendship in which seemingly unbridgeable differences are diluted in an ancestral understanding.
