Instituto Cervantes in Manchester in collaboration with ILAMS (The Iberian and Latin American Music Society) brings the ECHOES Festival to the city with a unique performance.
Darío Barozzi is an artist who defies definition - a musician at the forefront of the newest generation of Argentine guitarists whose interpretations and original compositions bring fresh contemporaneity to a profound and indigenous knowledge of Argentine musical traditions. His music exists happily at the intersection between the classical and the popular, moving seamlessly between art music, tango, folk music and free improvisation.
Barozzi makes his UK debut with an eclectic programme revealing his many facets. He is joined by special guest, pre-eminent Cuban flautist, José Zalba, in Astor Piazzolla’s Histoire du tango.
