This diverse programme transcends musical boundaries, drawing inspiration from Correa's native Colombia, often referred to as "the land of a thousand rhythms," and extending throughout Latin America. Additionally, immerse yourself in the fusion of cultural influences with new British music, exemplified by the Winterbourne Preludes, specially commissioned and composed for Francisco by the esteemed Stephen Goss. Enhanced by beloved classics from the Spanish classical guitar repertoire, this concert promises an evening brimming with captivating music that traverses a rich tapestry of genres.

Francisco Correa. Praised by Gramophone for his "eloquence" and by Soundboard Magazine for his "beautiful and expressive interpretation," Colombian guitarist Francisco Correa has captivated audiences with his virtuosic and nuanced performances. He has appeared on stages in over 20 countries, performing with prestigious orchestras, and has been featured on major radio and television programs, such as BBC's "In Tune, Radio 3" and Radio France. An active chamber musician, particularly with the Correa-Andrews duo and the CarmenCo ensemble, Francisco's passion for new music has led him to collaborate with prominent composers, premiering over 50 works to date. He is a prominent figure in the classical guitar community, serving as president of the Bristol Classical Guitar Society, artistic director of the International Guitar Foundation's Festival and Summer School, and as a faculty member at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Dance. Francisco plays a Philip Woodfield guitar, is a D'Addario artist, and is sponsored by Mundo Music Gear.
