Based on a story by Adelaida García Morales, the film gets into the life of a little girl and young girl called Estrella, who in that process goes from the fascination with her father, a dowsing doctor, to the knowledge of his humanity so close to all, to that of many. The film signals the director's fascination with the world of cinema and had an immediate international recognition that would confirm his status as an author.
