Join us for the exciting new concert of the Guitarrísimo series, presented by the Instituto Cervantes Manchester and The Iberian and Latin American Music Society. Enjoy an incredible concert with Argentinean guitarist Daniela Rossi, whose repertoire includes Spanish and Latin American composers.

Daniela Rossi will perform original music for the guitar by Spanish and Latin-American composers. The first half of the programme will include works by Joaquín Rodrigo (the celebrated Spanish composer best known for his "Concierto de Aranjuez") and Mexican composer Manuel Ponce, featuring one of the most significant works for guitar, "Variations on la Folia de España," which comprises twenty variations and a Fugue.

The second part of the program will showcase composers from Daniela’s native Argentina: two well-known pieces by José Luis Merlín and Quique Sinesi. These pieces will transport the audience to Argentina through various dances and songs, always blending popular music with classical forms. Additionally, the programme will feature a song with variations by a young talented composer from La Plata, Buenos Aires, Federico Beilinson.
