Book Clubs for Spanish Students

The library of the Instituto Cervantes in Manchester invites you to join its Book Clubs for Spanish Students.

This is an activity aimed at non-native readers of Spanish who wish to gradually introduce themselves to Hispanic literature and find a friendly and relaxed space for conversation adapted to their level.

The original Spanish texts have been selected specifically for beginner (A2) and intermediate (B1) students. The proposed readings introduce different literary genres and authors from the Spanish-speaking world.

Our autumn program -from October to December- includes texts by Gloria Fuertes, Max Aub, Ida Vitale, Nicanor Parra, Humberto Akabal, Rafael Alberti among others.

The club is moderated by Luz Comendador (librarian), with the academic coordination of Ana Valbuena (teacher at I. Cervantes Manchester).

Dates

Beginners: 3 October, 7 November & 5 December.

Intermediate: 17 Octiber, 21 November & 12 December.
