Translation workshop with Peter Bush

We are particularly pleased to begin our new series of 2024/2025 workshops with a guest of honour: Peter Bush.

Peter Bush is one of the great figures in British translation. A true connoisseur of Hispanic literature and cultures, he has translated a long list of titles from Spanish, Catalan and Portuguese into English. These include well-known classic and contemporary authors, such as Fernando de Rojas, Juan Goytisolo, Eduardo Galeano, Josep Pla, Roberto Bolaño, Federico García Lorca, Leonardo Padura, Juan Carlos Onetti, Luis Sepúlveda and Miguel Sousa Tavares.

His impressive career as a translator has been internationally renowned with many different awards. With his moderation, this workshop invites you to translate into English and to reflect and discuss your impressions, options and ideas about a text taken from the novel Los santos inocentes, by Miguel Delibes.
