Rowing with the wind

Rowing with the wind [Desconocido]

The romantic atmosphere led by Lord Byron and Mary Shelley, two of its most prominent figures, brings us closer to the environment that gave rise to one of the most legendary literary figures of all time: Frankenstein. The literary rigor and meticulously defined visual composition, typical of historical cinema, make this film, starring a British and Spanish cast at the height of their powers, an essential classic of Gonzalo Suárez's filmography and European cinema.

Synopsis: Two English poets, Mary Shelley and Lord Byron, are forced to flee England. During the journey, Mary recalls how she met the young and passionate poet Shelley at her adoptive father's house, how she loved him, and how she ran away with him. She also recalls a rendezvous with Byron in Switzerland. But above all, she remembers a night in November 1816 when, while her friends told horror stories, she gave birth to the legendary monster of Frankenstein. [Film Academy].
