‘Our walls pay tribute to those we love’ is how this story begins, inspired by a walk through the streets of San Sebastián by the directors of Las Chicas de Pasaik (María Elorza and Maider Fernández), who realised that most of the names of the avenues and squares belong to men. This reflection led them to question the role of women in history and how it is inside, within the home, ‘in that room of one's own’ as Virginia Woolf wrote, and not outside, the place that has traditionally been assigned to women. A hidden place, a microcosm, which is honoured here by the directors, who dedicate the film to housewives, mothers and all women in our society, thus transforming the city into a utopian metropolis in which “the neighbourhood of Las Amas de Casa” (The Housewives), 'the district of Las Insomnes', “the kiosk of La Madre Desconocida” or “the underground of Las Mujeres Solas” give their names to public spaces. Session presented and moderated by Argentine-born, Angelino-based film director Sergio Bonacci Lapalma, aka Chapete.
