Sciencie with an Ñ in the West Coast
The cycle aims to provide a meeting place for Spanish-speaking
scientists and English-speaking North Americans in California, one of the
states with the highest concentration of excellence in scientific research and
technological development in the world. Public and private universities such as
Berkeley, Stanford, UCLA, USC, Santa Barbara and Caltech, to name a few of the
most obvious, and laboratories such as the SLAC National Accelerator
Laboratory, the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory and the NASA Jet
Propulsion Laboratory (Pasadena) are clear proof of this. Through prominent names in Spanish science working in Spain or the
United States, the series is also conceived as a multiplier for specialized and
non-specialized audiences of the visibility of excellence in Spanish science on
the West Coast of the United States.
