Animayo International Awards at the LightBox Expo

The Animayo 2025 International Awards recognize 20 works in 18 official categories, in addition to the Audience Award and the Critics' Award, with representation from 10 countries in Europe, America, and Asia. The award-winning works range from humor and artistic experimentation to social awareness and personal intimacy, with techniques ranging from 2D and 3D to stop motion, pixilation, and narrative VFX. Animayo thus reaffirms its position as an Oscar® qualifying festival, acting as a prelude to major international awards and reinforcing its role as a world-renowned festival and a cultural and professional bridge between Europe and Hollywood, placing its Awards and the winning works at the epicenter of the global audiovisual industry. The Cervantes Institute and Animayo present the Animayo International Awards in a day of screenings moderated by animation director and festival founder Damián Perea.
