With the comedy Amor en toda la cara continues the Versión en español cycle, this time bringing us the Los Angeles premiere of an independent film written, produced, and directed by Gerald Fillmore (Muertos SL, Netflix), who also stars in the film alongside Vanessa Benavente (The Chosen). The international cast includes Tito Valverde (El Comisario), Carlos Santos (Gentefied), and William Miller (Cuéntame). Shot entirely with an iPhone in Los Angeles, Madrid, London, and Zaragoza, the film has become a SkyShowtime original and has accumulated more than twenty international awards and selections. Filmed in video call format, it tells the story of Danny and Ana, a long-distance relationship caught up in the pandemic. The screening will include a discussion with Gerald Fillmore and Vanessa Benavente on bilingual cinema, mobile filming, and the boundary between the real and the virtual, which will be open to the audience at the end, as always.
