A Foreman, by Brazilian director Daniel Drummond, is the third short film in the Brazilian short film program organized by the Instituto Cervantes in Los Angeles in collaboration with Brazil Screens.


Synopsis: When a labor inspector shows up at her doorstep, a foreman at a machine shop must keep the business running while protecting her workers' interests. But she soon realizes she may not be able to do both.

Daniel Drummond is a Brazilian director and writer who began his career as a visual effects artist. His thesis film Chiaroscuro won a Gold Medal at the Student Academy Awards, and A Foreman was nominated for the same honor in 2017. He currently lives in Los Angeles, working as a motion designer while developing his neo-western feature The Weight of Land, supported by SFFILM, PGA, Film Independent, and the Westridge Foundation.
