Why does the unknown scare me?
Why does difference sometimes scare us or make us feel uncomfortable? What happens when someone doesn't think, feel, or live the same way we do? This talk invites people of all ages to reflect on the importance of respecting what we don't know, what doesn't resemble us, what escapes our beliefs or customs. We will explore how diversity—in ideas, bodies, cultures, and emotions—is a source of learning, beauty, and strength. A roundtable discussion to discover that difference is not a threat, but a possibility. Panel discussion with Mónica Rodríguez, Ana Romero, and José Ignacio Valenzuela. Moderator: Raquel Castro
