Return to Hansala
A ‘patera’ sinks and leaves a dozen bodies on the beach and probably many more at sea. Martín has a young daughter and has recently separated from his wife. He runs a funeral home in Algeciras and faces endless economic and legal problems. After a phone call from the Guardia Civil, he heads for the site of the accident and, while he is gathering up the bodies, he finds one whose fist is tightly gripping a piece of paper with a telephone number written on it. Martín decides to ring this number. The call is answered by Leila, a Moroccan female who works night shifts in Malaga's food market. Both of them will set off on an unexpected journey.
