Latin Scratch Night
Cervantes Institute collaborates with the Untold Collectiv on the reading of six new dramatic pieces written by Latinx playwrights that explore the theme of love.
Love will be explored through family, romance, identity, friendship, and memory. From quiet moments to grand declarations, these works explore the many forms that love takes and what it means to hold on, let go, and be seen. Latinx Scratch is a space for developing voices, where the raw energy of new writing meets the immediacy of live performance.
Each piece offers a glimpse into emerging theater: bold, urgent, and full of heart.
The six plays are:
Brit-ish Rhapsody by Natalia Knowlton Vásquez
Transient by Cesar Azanza
301 by Juan José Galeano Pareja
No babies on this train by Joel Stern
One Perfect Day by Margarita Valderrama
We're Boiling Alfred Baines by Mackie Reyes
