Maspalomas

Instituto Cervantes London is collaborating with the BFI in the latest edition of the London Film Festival, which features six Spanish films in its programme. Maspalomas Synopsis Vicente is 76 and enjoying life in Gran Canaria after separating from the man he left his wife and daughter for. But after suffering a stroke, he finds himself in a care home, repressing his sexuality and confronting his shortcomings as a father and as a person. Brilliantly exploring bilingualism and solidarity among the elderly, this film offers a hopeful perspective on how it’s never too late to grow and improve as human beings.
