Cervantes Institute is collaborating with the Architecture Foundation in promoting the lecture by the firm Liebman Villavecchia Arquitectos, which will take place at the Barbican Centre.
Eileen Liebman and Fernando Villavecchia founded Liebman Villavecchia Arquitectos in 1987 in Barcelona. The studio has maintained a strong focus on the design of private residences, often developed through the adaptation of existing structures.
Their lecture will be followed by a conversation with Stephen Bates (Sergison Bates Architects), with whom they collaborated on the design of Casa Voltes in Cadaqués. Edited by Stephen Bates and Fernando Villavecchia, the book LINEAGE AND LEGACY. A Certain Modernism in Cadaqués was published in 2021.
