Migrant women: Spanish women and emigration under Franco in contemporary literature
Cervantes Institute in collaboration with the British-Spanish Society presents the talk on Las mujeres migrantes: las españolas y la emigración durante el franquismo en la literatura contemporánea, an event that will feature the presentation of Luccia Gray's book ‘Antes de que nacieras’ which, along with other literary references, will discuss the phenomenon of migration during the Franco regime. After this presentation, Blanca Cano - Councillor for Labour, Migration and Social Security, will contextualise immigration at the present time, highlighting the profile of emigrants in recent years. After both presentations, Blanca and Luccia will open a dialogue and a question and answer session for the audience.
