The Machine of Horizontal Dreams
Instituto Cervantes in London is collaborating with the premiere of the work La máquina de los sueños horizontales (The Machine of Horizontal Dreams) by Spanish choreographer Pepa Ubera at Sadler's Wells East.
In this work, progress is redefined through pleasure, cooperation and shared imagination.
Through choreography, sound, light, video and immersive technology, this boundary-pushing performance installation invites you to reimagine Western ideas of progress, not as linear growth or individual achievement, but as collective care, cyclical time and embodied experience.
Drawing inspiration from ecofeminist and posthumanist thought, and from visionary writer and activist Adrienne Maree Brown, acclaimed artist Pepa Ubera proposes a framework in which growth emerges through relationships, reflection and radical dreaming. nbsp;
