EntreCuerpos

EntreCuerpos The Place

Instituto Cervantes collaborates with The Place to promote the performance EntreCuerpos by choreographer Isadora d’Héloïsa.

EntreCuerpos is an encounter between Vogue and Flamenco, two artistic expressions born from legacies of marginalization and resilience. EntreCuerpos is a celebration of constellations of living, expanding femininities that journey through a process of transformation: awakening and revelation, self-affirmation and empowerment, sovereignty and celebration. Through the sculptural and contorted lines of New Way Vogue, and a photographic gaze inspired by the ballroom culture’s imagery, the piece reimagines flamenco poetry as a living extension of being: a body that is bold, graceful, vulnerable, sensual, playful, and powerful.

This dialogue unfolds live through an original composition by Bryan Reyes (guitar), Ago Hernández (percussion), and Carlos de Luisa (vocals). In this confluence of heritage and reinvention, living femininity and queer essence bloom as something intimate, political, and viscerally beautiful. An invitation to enter a space where presence is remembered and reclaimed. Isadora d’Héloïsa is a choreographer and dancer, part of the Iconic House of Milan. She develops hybrid work between Vogue, flamenco, and experimental movement.
