In a showcase of elegance and energy, join award-winning flamenco dancer, Florencia Oz and her twin sister Isidora O ́Ryain, present the culmination of a week-long artistic residency at Sadler’s Wells, a contemporary and minimalistic world of movement. They explore the impact of modern life on our bodies and their natural rhythms. Using images, music and movement Oz develops organic dance rhythms that are heavily influenced by light and the natural environment around us.
The Chilean Florencia Oz went to Seville at a young age to study flamenco. She danced as a soloist in the Ballet Flamenco of Andalucía with Rafaela Carrasco, and with the companies of Eva Yerbabuena and David Coria. The latter also created thechoreography for Antípodas, her first solo performance. Following the premiere at the Jerez Festival (2021) she was awarded the Prize for Best New Artist.
