Instituto Cervantes London is pleased to invite you to hear graphic novelist Quan Zhou Wu in conversation as she is interviewed by Paul Gravett at this event on hybrid identity organised in collaboration with Instituto Cervantes Leeds. Quan Zhou will discuss her graphic novels, and the audience will have the chance to interact with her and ask her questions during the Q&A session that will follow.
Quan Zhou Wu is an author, illustrator, graphic novelist and UX designer. She studied in Madrid and graduated in the UK. Her comic strips have been published in the digital version of El País and she has worked on the programme Hoy empieza todo on Spain's Radio 3.
In 2015, Quan Zhou debuted with her first graphic novel, Gazpacho agridulce. Una autobiografía chino-andaluza, published by Astiberri. In 2017, the sequel, Andaluchinas por el mundo; Gazpacho agridulce 2, was published with the same publisher. In 2018, her work with Nuria Labari, El gran libro de los niños extraordinarios, was published.
Quan Zhou has also given lectures on racism and identity in Spain, the US, Sweden, China and Taiwan.
This event is aimed at both the general public and those interested in graphic novels and comics.
