The Role of Translations

Live conversation through the Flawa website, with two of the most representative authors of the new Argentine literature - Ariana Harwicz and Gabriela Cabezón Cámara. The two authors have been nominated for the English translations of their most recent works for the Man Booker International Prize. In this talk, the writers will read parts of their novels - Harwicz will read excerpts from The Weak Mental and Degenerate, Gabriela Cabezón Cámara will read excerpts from The Adventures of China Iron - and they will talk about the impact that the translation of their books has had on them as writers.
