Two Thrones, Two Queens

Two Thrones, Two Queens Festelón

Cervantes Institute in London is collaborating with the staging of the play ‘Two Queens, Two Kingdoms’, which forms part of the new edition of the Spanish theatre festival Festelón.

‘Dos reinas, Dos reinos’ depicts an imaginary encounter that never took place. A death sentence postponed. The femininity and masculinity of power through two legendary women: Elizabeth I of England and Mary Stuart, Queen of Scots. Two women who were fighters and rule-breakers. Two women who depended on each other... An intense piece that promises to keep the audience on the edge of their seats with an exquisite script by Pepe Cibrian, masterfully brought to life in this acting duel between Nacho Guerreros and Nicolás Perez Costa. Passion, intrigue, tenderness, emotion, truths, intensity... theatre at its purest: ‘Two Thrones, Two Queens’.
