Cita con el cine. "La voluntaria"

(2024) dir. Nely Reguera the second feature length film of the Spanish filmmaker, behind the critically acclaimed Maria (y los demás), deals with the delicate subject of the refugee camps in Europe and which manages to the viewer manages to reflect about the limits of commitment.

Synopsis: Maria is a recently retired doctor who decides to travel to a greek refugee camp as a volunteer where to her luck, are need of people like her. Upon getting there, it becomes evident that she has nothing in common with the others and when she meets little Ahmed, the limits between the need of caring and feeling useful begin to blur.

This activity is moderated by the personnel at the Instituto Cervantes and includes specialists who took part in the making of this film (cinematographers, camera operators etc) enjoy Spanish cinema!
