Cervantes Annual Lecture at the University of Bristol

Instituto Cervantes in collaboration with the Department of Hispanic, Portuguese and Latin American Studies at the School of Modern Languages of the University of Bristol, presents the first annual conference on Hispanic culture.
The writer Quan Zhou Wu will be in charge of inaugurating this conference. In her talk, the author will speak about her career, her books published in Spain, and the impact and reception of her work among Spanish audiences.
Quan Zhou Wu is a Spanish author, illustrator, graphic novelist, and digital product designer. She was born in Algeciras, Cádiz, on December 5, 1989, to Chinese parents who moved to Andalusia in the 1980s. Throughout her career, she has worked in various media outlets, including the digital edition of the newspaper El País and Vogue magazine. She has also given lectures on racism and identity at universities in Spain, the United States, Sweden, China, and Taiwan. Her work has been internationally recognized, and in 2024 she was awarded the Honorary Chair of Spanish Culture and Civilization at New York University.
