Instituto Cervantes in London is collaborating in the promotion of Ara Malikian’s concert, organised by the Barbican in London.
The Ara Malikian World Tour brings together classical masterpieces, original compositions and melodies from around the world in a unique performance not to be missed.
Ara Malikian is a violinist of Armenian descent, born in Beirut, Lebanon, in 1968. Despite the challenges of growing up during the Lebanese Civil War, his father helped him begin his musical career at an early age. Malikian has won numerous international awards and has expanded his musical repertoire to include influences from a wide range of cultures, such as Arab, Jewish, European and Latin traditions. His distinctive style and his commitment to music and culture have made him a prominent figure on the contemporary music scene.
