Actress Ana Mariscal began her career as a director in 1953 with this comedy in which the influence of neorealist aesthetics can be perceived, but also the tradition of picaresque characters - which she endows with remarkable humanity. In it, the filmmaker, along with her production company Bosco Films (whith which she would make more than a dozen films), tells the story of a man from the provinces, who after the death of his mother decides to sell the modest family business and go to Madrid to try your luck.
