After her mother died when she was fifteen, Maria has taken care of her father and brothers and sisters. Being responsible and in control, she has always been at the heart of the family, and has been proud for it to be so. So when her father suddenly falls in love with his nurse and announces his imminent wedding, Maria feels that her world is coming crashing down. She´s 35 years old and with no boyfriend in sight, she has to go about changing her destiny.
