La odisea de los giles

The Cervantes Institute would like to present to you the screening of the film La odisea de los giles in collaboration with the University of Leeds as part of the SPLAS film club on February 5th between 17.30 and 20:00.

Province of Buenos Aires, late 2001. A group of friends and neighbours see the money they had raised to revive an old agricultural cooperative disappear. They soon discover that they were victims of a scam orchestrated by an unscrupulous lawyer and a bank manager, who had privileged information about the looming crisis in the country. Realising what has happened, they decide to join forces and devise a meticulous plan to recover what is theirs.

This film will be played in Spanish with English subtitles.
