Interactive flamenco, by flamenco guitar player Salvador Andrades
In this entertaining talk, the flamenco guitarist Salvador Andrades will address the art of flamenco, from its origins to present day. But he will do this in a special and unconventional way. Given that flamenco is not only technique, but also emotional and sensory, Salvador will invite the participants to try out and experience the different flamenco styles. How dows sound the rhythm of an alegría? And the one of a bulería, or of a seguidilla? Through clapping, snapping, beating or strumming our hands, heels or even different surfaces, Salvador will convey how flamenco sounds in all its forms.
Interactive flamenco is an out-of-the-box talk, one where the audience will be not only allowed, but encouraged to participate, one where they will feel the passion for flamenco as much as Salvador.
The conference 'Interactive Flamenco' is part of the programme of the Cultural Flamenco Week in Leeds.
Free entry until capacity is reached, no booking required. Conference in English.
