If rhythm is one of the basic components that defines any musical genre, then in flamenco it occupies one of the main roles, with the guitar being one of the main instruments of the rhythm section.  In this workshop we will focus primarily on the main rhythms of some of the different flamenco styles.The guitar is one of the most popular harmonic instruments, that is, it can produce more than one note at a time and allows the possibility of creating chords.

Harmony is one of the most distinctive characteristics of flamenco, which immediately allows us to recognize this musical genre. During this workshop we will learn some of the most popular harmonic chords and progressions (chord succession) of this genre.

MELODY (12/03)

Although the voice of the flamenco singer (cantaor / ora) is the one that usually plays the main melodic role in many flamenco pieces, however, the guitar tends to take on this role, especially when talking about an instrumental piece. In this workshop we will try to learn the scales, falsetas (flamenco solos) and improvisation methods of this musical genre.
