Cinemaattic: Kimuak. Short Films from Basque Country

"Scotland's leading Spanish cinema mavericks" CinemaAttic return to physical screenings with a special selection of short films from the Basque Country. The programme will be available to watch online across the UK between the 18 - 25 June. Once again CinemaAttic presents favourite short films made by Basque filmmakers in the last year, hosting the last batch of the prestigious Kimuak selection, in partnership with Etxepare and Filmoteca Vasca. A truly rollercoasting programme with films that go from Basque folkloric horror to surreal comedy. You’ll find masters of Spanish horror like Paul Urkijo (Errementari, The Blacksmith and the Devil), animation legends like Bego Vicario, Basque favourites like Koldo Almandoz (The Deer) and promising young Basque talent fresh from the newly established Elias Querejeta film school in San Sebastian (Marina Palacio).
