Cine en Construcción (Film in Progress)

For 5 consecutive years The Instituto Cervantes in Manchester and Leeds have presented The Film in Progress Season, with films from the International Film Festival in Donostia- San Sebastian and Toulouse. Cine en Construcción is a selection of Latin American independent feature films that have had to suspend their projects due to reasons beyond their control because of a phase in post-production. Cine en Construcción is an attempt to contribute to the budgets of the Latin American filmmakers so that they can achieve the 35mm format which is required for them to participate in the film festivals, to have access to the distribution, and to reach the screens of big cinemas. This year five up and coming productions from Argentina, Guatemala and Mexico will be shown.
