Antonio Martínez-Arboleda presents 'Poets of Yorkshire' and the poethic collection 'Ártemis'
The University of Leeds Principal Teaching Fellow in Spanish and poet Antonio Martínez-Arboleda presents the project in which he has invested his love for poetry, as well as dedication and tenacity in the last months: the poetry video-collection Ártemis. Ártemis consists of the collaboration of more than 80 Spanish speaking poets, that participate by reciting pieces of their own work and also contribute by being interviewed on video. A very precious collection of audio-visual material that is totally open for consultation in the Ártemis website. Besides this function of spreading Spanish speaking poetry, Ártemis also accomplishes a pedagogical mission by presenting comprehension exercises after each video-poem. Also, Antonio Martínez-Arboleda will be accompanied by some friends and poets from Yorkshire who, after some of the video-poems, will read alongside him fragments of their poems: Ana Tomás, Alicia Fernandez, Rob Miles and Mike Baynham. The activity will be both in Spanish and English languages.
