Spanish artist WESL at the Waterford Walls Festival

Spanish artist WESL at the Waterford Walls Festival Waterford Walls Festival

Spanish artist WESL will join this year’s Waterford Walls Festival painting a large-scale mural artwork. His piece will make a great addition to the city and will tie in with other large-scale artworks planned for the vicinity. WESL is one of 28 Irish and international street artists venturing to Waterford to transform grey gable ends and derelict buildings with colourful artwork.

WESL began his journey in the world of graffiti in 1991, after quitting his 10-year career in computer engineering. Since then he has painted in numerous events and countries around the world. Abstraction and realism feature in his art showing an almost hypnotic style made in its entirety with spray paint. Vanguardism, technique and urban art consolidate the vision of WESL.

Waterford Walls is an international street art festival run annually in Waterford City and the surrounding areas of the county bringing art jams, guided art tours and music.
