Traveling to Germany with Clara, by Fernando Aramburu

We are very excited about this project at the Dámaso Alonso Library: a club that allows you to discuss your favourite books in Spanish in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. We meet once a month to talk about a book previously chosen by the club.

Traveling with Clara to Germany is a delightful conjugal comedy disguised as travel novel, an itinerant newspaper projecting an ironic look and at the same time admiring the German culture, but especially a hilarious chronic of what would be a trip with literary pretensions, with magnificent scenes of coexistence among spouses and family. Aramburu retrieves his personal and unmistakable mood, and offers a succession of hilarious scenes in a peculiar journey through Germany.

We recommend a C1 level in Spanish.
