This is Cuba

This is Cuba Lynn Feeney

This is Cuba is a selection of images from Lynn's collection depicting current Cuban life. Lynn has spent time in Cuba on different occasions between 2011 and 2016. In Cuba, Lynn travels with local Cuban professional photographer and friend, Ramsés Batista. Their travels take them from Havana to Trinidad, Cienfuegos and Vinales and local knowledge gains them access to private homes and mansions, boxing clubs and blacksmiths, exploring the colours, culture, people and places of a rapidly changing island.

Cuba is a fascinating country made up of many complicated layers.
Cuba is a rich country - its wealth being the tenacity and pride of its people.
Cuba is a beautiful country in a raw and imperfect way in spite of its history or maybe because of it – it’s up to you to decide.

This body of work is Lynn's first solo exhibition and endeavours to bring Cuba to you before it changes forever.

Lynn Feeney is a photographer based in Dublin with a special interest in travel photography. When possible Lynn travels to different locations to capture the people and places, culture and colour of that country documenting what she sees.  Lynn's journey in photography began over 15 years ago when she began taking photos seriously.  Having attained the LIPF (Licentiate of the Irish Photographic Federation) designation in 2011, Lynn continues to work towards her AFIAP (Artiste FIAP) distinction.
