Flamenco dance for children: Sevillanas & Tangos de Triana

Flamenco dance for children: Sevillanas & Tangos de Triana THEPALMER

Encourage your children to explore the fascinating world of flamenco, a vibrant artistic expression and a cornerstone of Spanish culture. Our workshops offer much more than just dance steps; they are a valuable tool for children's holistic development. Flamenco fosters discipline, creativity, and collaboration. By immersing themselves in its rhythms and movements, children not only learn an art form but also develop their personal expression and connect with a rich tradition. Furthermore, these workshops promote socialization and teamwork, creating a positive environment where children learn to cooperate, respect their peers, and build friendships, strengthening their sense of belonging.

How our classes are structured
Each session is designed for a complete immersion.
  • Warm-up: Mobility and rhythmic introduction.
  • Theory and context: A brief history of flamenco and its role in Spanish culture, with a focus on the style or step of the day.
  • Choreographic structure: They will learn steps with clear objectives, progressing gradually. By the end of the 8 sessions, they will have completed a choreography of Sevillanas (regional folklore) and Tangos de Triana (flamenco with great expressive richness and an invitation to improvisation).
  • Cool-down and expression: Body expression exercises and gentle stretches. Some classes will include improvisation circles to stimulate creativity and playful group interaction.
Enroll them and let them discover the passion and benefits of this ancient art form!
