Mexican Cooking Class. Session 1

Mexican Cooking Class. Session 1 Darren Martin

One of our more successful workshops makes a comeback in 2017. Come along and learn how to make corn tortillas, sopes, quesadillas, guacamole and pico de gallo salsa. Learn many good Mexican cooking tips along the way. Enjoy a very casual, friendly and homely learning experience. Relax, chat and enjoy the food afterwards!

Hugo Camacho Romero is from Mexico DF. He owns and runs Café Azteca in Dublin 2. Since 2009 he has also run hands-on Mexican cooking classes which have been a wonderful success (over 5,000 people have been to the classes so far!). People love the classes, and he loves the people! People who attend are those who have a real interest in food and cooking. Mexican food is ‘fashionable’ at the moment throughout Ireland, but over at Azteca they are no fashion fad. They have been passionate about traditional Mexican food forever. His aim with the classes has been to teach people what genuine Mexican should be. Healthy salsas from scratch, the smell of the corn while making your tortillas, how to know a good ripe avocado before opening it, knowing the different flavours of the different dried chillies etc.
