This documentary explores the life of the musician and poet Silvio Rodríguez (San Antonio de los Baños, Cuba, 1946). The singer, musical icon of the Cuban revolution and representative of the nueva trova, learned to play guitar on the sly while doing military service.

After a forty-five year career and over twenty albums, Silvio Rodriguez keeps working in music while he maintained his commitment to culture through its study. The documentary is not only a portrait of the troubadour, but also of the country in the last 40 years.
