Radio, television, paper media … Aimed at students of journalism and those who are interested in cultural writing, this workshop proposes a particular analysis of content creation for different media and how to achieve a personal style. Delivered by cultural writer and journalist Jesús Marchamalo, the workshop will analyse radio and television programmes and press reports, and each participant will then write a piece to effectively communicate the information they have gathered.


Jesús Marchamalo, writer and journalist, has developed a large part of his career at Radio Nacional de España and Televisión Española, and has won the Icaro, Montecarlo and Miguel Delibes National Journalism awards, among others. He is the author of almost twenty books, many of them dedicated to topics related to reading, libraries and literature: Tocar los libros, Las bibliotecas perdidas, 39 escritores y medio, Cortázar, El libro de Miguel Delibes, and a series of illustrated biographies of contemporary writers: Baroja, Pessoa, Kafka, Karen Blixen, Virginia Woolf, Stefan Zweig, Delibes, etc. He has curated a dozen exhibitions, among others, Delibes in 2020 for the National Library of Spain, and was an advisor to the PICE Program for the Internationalization of Spanish Culture. He is currently collaborating on the RNE programs Gente despierta and El ojo crítico, where he deals with editorial and cultural news, and is preparing an interview program, Encuentros, on TVE.
