Pablo Larraín's cinema always combines a disturbing narrative with the complexity of characters who seem to flee after their silence. With the need to rework the stories about the coup d'état in Chile and its memory, which would travel again in No (2012), the story told in Post Mortem leaves no breath to understand the horror denoted by its empty spaces and its searches in places where the hallmark is death. 


Synopsis: Mario Cornejo works in the morgue as the notary in charge of writing the autopsy reports performed by the forensic doctors. In the days surrounding the 1973 state government he becomes embroiled in a love affair with a dancer of the Bim Bam Bum, who mysteriously disappears on the morning of the 11th. Cornejo's search through a besieged and desolate city will put him as a privileged witness of those days, in the midst of a story of love, death and betrayal.
