Plácido

Plácido Filmax

In a small town Spain, a group of ladies from the bourgeoisie decide to get a Christmas initiative up and running, their slogan: “sit the poor at your table”. Those in need could share a Christmas dinner with wealthy families and enjoy the warmth and affection they lack. Plácido is hired to participate in their parade with his auto rickshaw. One concern will not allow him to concentrate in his task: the vehicle’s first payment is due on the same day, what would he do if he loses his way of earning a living? The farce escalates into harsh criticism of the bourgeoisie, bureaucracy and the hypocrisy of Catholicism.
