Little Cubists: A Journey into the World of Pablo Picasso

Little Cubists: A Journey into the World of Pablo Picasso © Instituto Cervantes

Pablo Picasso was an artist from a very young age. In this fun workshop, children aged 6 to 12 will discover who Picasso was, how he lived, and why he changed art forever. They'll learn about some of his curious artistic periods, ranging from his use of sad colors to his wildest portraits.

What if the eyes aren't where they usually are? What if the nose is sideways? Participants, guided by early childhood teacher and art historian Sara Pascual, will explore the world of Cubism, where everything is seen through geometric shapes and lots of imagination. Through games, cut-outs, colors, and collage, they'll create their own Cubist portraits, inspired by some of Picasso's most famous works.

This workshop is ideal for curious kids who want to play, create, and discover a world where art has no rules.
