Nocturna, una aventura mágica

When the stars go out all of a sudden the night is plunged into darkness. Tim, an easily-frightened little boy who lives in an orphanage, will need all his courage to find a solution to this disaster by facing up to his own shadow, the source of all his fears. To do this, he will have to go head first into an exciting adventure in Nocturna, a parallel world which appears every night when we go to sleep. There he’ll come across all the creatures that make the night so peaceful, and he’ll join them on a fantastic journey to rescue his favourite star: Adhara.

"Nocturna, una aventura mágica" is an ambitious animation made in Spain. Experts in their field, Víctor Maldonado and Adriá García not only directed the film, they were also responsible for the artistic direction and the script-writing. This project is their début outing on the big screen following their participation in the arts department of films such as “El Cid, la leyenda”, and “Manolito Gafotas”. The storyline deals with the universal sensation that is the fear of the dark, and tackles it from the point of view of an easily-frightened child who manages to overcome his fears. The films creators have conceived it as a modern fable which incorporates elements of classic fairy-stories.
