Never Look Back (Pa`trás ni pa'tomar impulso) Diego Poleri y Sergio Caro

The entire work of director Lupe Pérez García is featured by a commitment to the documentary films. She recognises to be part of the school founded by Joaquín Jordá. Since her debut with Diario Argentino (2007), the female protagonism connects her works as an evident and exemplary concern. Female creators is also a recurrent topic in her films, as evidenced by her work with the violinist Gala Pérez in her peculiar revision of the myth of Antígona and with the flamenco dancer Carmen Mesa. The latter is featured in Ni pa tras ni pa tomar impulso, a film merging flamenco and The Andes.

Synopsis: The Andes and flamenco merge in Pa' trás ni pa'tomar impulso (Never Look Back), a journey that shows the strength and passion of Carmen, a brave Andalusian who, like other women, emigrates and pursues a dream. With her flamenco art, she stamps her feet through the dusty roads of the Andes, the Qom communities or the Buenos Aires grid — places where she lives with her soul families.

Followed by a talk and Q&A with director Lupe Pérez and Nuala Finnegan (UCC).
