The winners, by Julio Cortázar

We are very excited about this project at the Dámaso Alonso Library: a club that allows you to discuss your favourite books in Spanish in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. We meet once a month to talk about a book previously chosen by the club.

The winners is the story of a luxury cruise, bound for an unknown destination, which runs terribly amok. Funny, frightening, lyrical, and humane, it is a deeply satisfying philosophical novel about crossed lives and wayward love, as well as a brilliant meditation on the myth of the New World.

We recommend a C1 level in Spanish.
